Why running is my favourite sport

The beginning: One day I had a look at the mirror and I asked to myself: which sport do you prefer? I liked rugby and running. As I don't have the appropriate body for the rugby, after a reflection on the other sports, I decided: running! In this way began the legend of the Black Knight!
Present time: I think that this was the worst week during the training for the Florence Marathon. The 33 km. (20.5 ml) of sunday left me sore and tired. I had to rest for 2 days. For this reason I didn't push in the other 3 workouts of 12, 11 and 8.6 km. (7.45, 6.83 and 5.34 ml).
After the 25 km. (15.5 ml) of tomorrow the other 3 workouts of the week will be very demanding.
On Sunday 12 I will do a test in my home-city entering the Civitavecchia half marathon. For me it will be only a training. I think to finish in 1h 45' without pushing at all.

  2. how many races does chee-vee-tah-vek-ee-ya have in a year? seems like a lot.

if i finished 1:45 i'd have to collect my lungs off the tops of my shoes!

  3. The first thing that comes to mind when looking at those photos: OUCH. Good luck with the half marathon.

  4. Those pictures were funny! I suspect running injuries are easier to recover from than those, uh, other injuries. Good job on your training. If you can run a half-marathon in 1:45 without even trying, you don't get to call yourself a "slow" distance runner. Hope you heal soon.

  6. I had so much fun reading this post, definitely you are such great italian BN!!

Good luck on the half and take care a lot, you have to be ready for that big day!! Good you ended with all the long run despite being hard, the rest of the days are not as important as that one.

  7. Those pictures are a good reminder why I stopped playing contact sports and started running instead.

  8. Owie on those pictures!

Your training seems very rigorous - don't let yourself get injured.

Good luck in the 1/2 and may you win much treasure.

  10. Sounds like a good decision to rest a bit after the long run, it won't make any difference with the marathon. Have fun with the half!

  16. The marathon approaches and the taper begins .... do you eat pasta before the run for energy? .... we eat pasta which is the italian food ... so is it that you eat the hamburger? ... perhaps no.

My running friend did not see the waist level post whilst running one day .... the result was the same picture as the ones you post. Beware the running traps left by the enemies.

  19. When running suddenly came over me this year, and I could not help it but start to run, kicking and screaming almost, I reassured myself: at least it's not boxing. But yes the pictures are hilarious.
