Injury

No news this week. After the workouts of sunday, 14 km. (8,7 ml) long, the B.K. took 5 days off because of the pain on the right knee.
This morning I ran (???) 9 km. (5,6 ml) without pain. My (running) doctor said that I need a whole month to recover. In this period I must run slowly on flat ground forgetting uphills and downhills.
Here are other 2 pics of Florence.

  1. It must have been difficult to take 5 days off from running, but since you ran pain-free today, I guess it was worth it.

Your queen must be a good cook if you've gained 3 pounds! I'm sure you'll lose it quickly.

  2. Rest is a good thing. Don't overdo, now. (And I think I might work for that sub-2!!)

  3. Listen to your running doctor. Rest when healthy is good, when injured is absolutely good.

  5. You look very determined in that last picture!

Take care of you knee and it will take care of you. Abuse it and it will send your foot flying into your rump!

  6. I hope that knee heals up soon.

That's the price the Black Knight pays for running faster than his horse.

  7. Some good photos there. Perhaps you need to commission a portrait to hang in the castle to commemorate this famous victory.

  12. I hope your knees are healing. I have found that rest has helped and avoiding concrete has helped. Glucosamine (if you are not already taking it) is a great supplement to help w/knee issues as well.
