Cancellation

Cancellation: The Montalto 10 k race was cancelled. We don't know the reason but rumours say that nobody entered the event when the newspapers announced the participation of the Black Knight Army. Now this Army is legend: the adventures are also on the magazines.
The Next battle: on June 13rd the Black Knight Army, strong of 5 good warriors, will run the Formula Race Cup 10 km in Rome to support the Save the Children campaign.
Training: The usual scheduled program. Twice in the pool (1.650 and 1.700 metres) and 3 running workouts (12.2, 10.6 and 15.5 km). The swimming pool is the kingdom of the bad manners; after the free swimming (mine) it is the turn of the aquagym with about 30 persons. I have never seen people like those. They:
- leave the bathrobes on the clothes hooks outside the showers 40 minutes before;
- enter in the pool before their turn to "have a bath" (they call it warm up but it is a real bath) disturbing our training;
- ring the bell by themselves to announce on perfect time the change, complaining if we are a little late. It is crazy to see them to go out from the pool to ring the bell!!!!! But they cannot stay inside and they cannot ring that bell!!!!

  1. I've heard that the montalto's 10km race starts the 19th of June.
    However, the Black Knight team might run both races, the 13th and the 19th.

  2. Bummer your race was canceled! The Black Night's Army really must have intimidated the crap out of them :)

    I think the Black Night Army might need to scare a few folks out of the pool too.

  3. Sorry Victory was snatched by Cancellation!

    The pool problems are unfortunate! Our aquafit people are restricted to half the pool, so cannot be run over by lane swimmers! ;-)

  4. Hi Stefano,
    Oh, I am sorry about your race being cancelled! It is good to know that your Black Knight Army is now legend:) Everyone knows that you guys all kick butt and they are terrified to compete against you:)

    Bummer about the rude pool goers...that would be annoying to me too!

    Take care Stefano!

  9. All those who hear of the Black Knights quake in fear. Cowards! It's such a shame that you didn't get to run but the army will live to fight another day.

  19. I've just sent you the number of my UISP card. In the afternoon I ran 12 km tempo run along the Southern part of the town and through the tourist port
    Anguillara's race starts at 10:OO a.m.!I've never seen a race in July at 10:00 a.m.
    In summer we could run a race in the early morning or in the afternoon. In fact, Bolsena's 10 km race starts the 3rd of July at 18:30 p.m.
    Have a nice training session again.

    Post scriptum: the tennis club which you saw in my last post is situated near the Fattori stadium.

  22. Sorry to hear the race was canceled!

    Perhaps you should place some of those magazines in the locker room to try to scare off some of those ill-mannered aquagym folks. Better yet, remove the bell :-)
