Cats

Troubles. The things go wrong, after the injury, now the bronchitis with high fever. I am off from last saturday, today is the 5th day that I spend ill at home. I will come back to work tomorrow. I think I will take other 3 or 4 days off to recover completely.

Bruxelles. Monday and tuesday I will be in Bruxelles to attend an ESPO (european sea ports organization) meeting about the sustainable development. In this moment the environment is a priority in Europe. If you are interested on this topic feel free to e-mail me for more information and documents. I hope to make a workout through the city and, of course, I will take a lot of pictures.

Cats. They are very good friends. In this period Gioconda spends all the whole days at home with me. Here are some pics of my home cats (Gioconda and Benedetta) and some friends I met in Tuscany during the last trip.

Do you have a cat at home? What is his/her name?

  1. Bronchitis is the worst! Hope you feel better soon - definitely smarter to take more days off now rather than make it worse by exercising again too soon.

Beautiful cats! I have a very cute cat at home, a black-and-white tuxedo cat called Mickey - he came to live here in January, having been rescued in Brooklyn some months earlier. He is cute!

  3. Oh, that stinks. Glad you're finally feeling like you'll be back to work soon...and glad you've had such good company while you were down.

Have a great trip! I'm really longing for a nice trip and feeling really disappointed about having to skip my bike trip this year. Good thing I can "travel" through your pictures. :)

I had my a for 15 years, a gray tabby we named "Dingo".

  6. When I had hip surgery and was recovering, my cat would not leave my side. It's ass if he knew that I needed comfort. I hope you're feeling better!

  9. I hope you feel better soon!

Your cats are beautiful, and I like their names.

I had three cats growing up. Amos, a grey tabby, died when I was eight. Then, we got Casper, a white cat that was so good-natured. He disappeared during a snow storm, unfortunately, and we never saw him again. As a Christmas present when I was nine years old, my parents gave me another white cat named Misty. She lived a long time; she was 18 years old when she died in 2008. I don't have any pets now. My fiance and I will get a dog after we get married because he's allergic to cats.

  10. I am such a cat person. We have 3 yellow now - two came from our young adult daughter when she moved - but I love them dearly and would not give them back even if she could have them.

  12. After I had hip surgery my cat would not leave me. It was as if he knew I was hurt. My husband said that when I was in the hospital the cat was nowhere to be seen. It was comforting to know that my cat knew something was going on!

    Be well!

  13. No cats here - but we do have two dogs, two chickens and a cockatiel. We used to have cats in the past but when the last one left us for the great kitty castle in the sky, we just didn't replace him.

  15. Nice cats!
We have one and she's getting pretty old. Her name is kindof funny- stinkweed. My husband is good at giving things odd nicknames and it stuck!

Hope all goes well heading into your marathon training!

  16. I'm a huge animal lover with three cats in the family. We also have 4 dogs and plenty fish. Hope you are feeling much better already.

About your comment on my blog...you certainly are a runner my friend. Luckily runners know runners. It's the non-runners that need education. Have a good week!

  17. I only have two cats yet my boyfriend thinks it is La casa dei gatti. La gatta is Sundae (I found her on Sunday living in a storm drain). Il gatto is Nugget and is 17 years old.

  19. Hope you're feeling better soon Stefano.

No cats here. My mum's a bit of a cat woman - only has 2 at the moment - both rescued strays. Where is your black cat? I prefer dogs. Thinking about a German Shepherd for security.

  21. Hi Stefano, I do hope you are feeling much better now. It's horrible being unwell. Your cats are beautiful. I grew up with cats and always found them so affectionate and comforting. However, since we have lived in Canberra we have had dogs. They are so faithful and you can run with a dog:)
