Rome again

Training. This was a good week because I could swim and make some good tempo-runs. I cannot run 2 days in a row but the cross training helps. Hard time to run under this hot summer sun.
Run for the Acorp. Tomorrow with Sir Giorgio I will go to Rome to run through the beautiful Villa Pamphili the Acorp race to help the children in Brasil. It is a cross 6 km. long inside the park. I hope to finish in 28'00"/28'30".
Rome again. Here are some pictures that I took 2 weeks ago in Rome after the Race for the Cure. The place is Pantheon Square.

Question: Will you go to the beach this summer?

  2. I hate the beach! I know I am a freak, especially since I am an oceanographer...

  3. Have fun tomorrow. There is definitely some beach in my summer - at Brent's place in Cayman! Too hot for me in the sun, but swimming in the perfectly clear sea and watching beautiful marine creatures do their thing is always pretty amazing.

  4. Beautiful pics! I love the beach but have gotten so I like it more in the off season when it is not so crowded. I plan to be biking near the beach later this month though when I visit a friend.

  5. Beautiful photos. I do a lot of cross-training in the winter time, so I'm glad that it's working well for you. Good luck at the Acorp run. I hope to go to the beach sometime this summer, but I'm not sure when.

  10. Good luck on the race for you and Sir Giorgio and have fun!

You might appreciate my post of today as it got a lot of pictures of your beloved country :) which is my favourite vacation country as you know.

I won't go to the beach, I'm not a beach person. We might go to the special doggy beach not far from here so Bella can swim and play there.

  11. It's sunny in your Rome pics. When I was there it was rain, rain and more rain.

I will not go to the beach but I will go to the lake. My boyfriend has a boat and we go to the lake often in the summer.

  12. Beautiful pictures! Good luck in your race!

The beach...probably not the beach, but we'll hit the rivers and the lake, so at least we'll be able to enjoy the water. My husband and son will surely visit the beach when they go to California later in the month, but I'll be staying home.

  14. Ah, Rome. Such fun memories from my visit there during my time in college (or do you call it university). I hope your race went well! I didn't race mine yesterday, just ran comfortably so I could support a good friend.

  16. We are not that far from the beach but this summer it is going to be mostly mountains for us.

If you ever make it to CA, I'll be happy to show you Yosemite and other wonders of this amazing state.

  21. So beautiful! My daughter remembers Rome for its heat. Now I always think of it when I see photos like yours. And, will I go to the beach this summer? Of course, I live near the ocean!!

  22. No beach this summer but Rome looks pretty nice - I need to plan a trip there someday. But not in the summer, I think - too warm!

  23. As always, fantastic photos!! You always make me want to go to Italy!!

I am not much of a beach person, I probably won't go to the beach like most people think about. I have a very nice place I can canoe to that is private and I can get away and relax - it is on a lake not an ocean though :)
