Troubles and doubts

October. October had to be the month to load mileage for the marathon but I only ran 196 km (121,7 ml) for a bronchitis: 9 days off!!!! Now I don't know if can enter the Florence Marathon because I also skipped 2 long distance runs. However I have the plan b: Latina Marathon (dec. 4) & the plan c: Reggio Emilia marathon (dec. 11). Now Italy is under a strong rain storm and it will not be easy to follow the scheduled plan.

Gioconda likes the artichokes:

Mark Knopfler and Bob Dylan. On nov. 12 I will go with my wife Daniela to the Mark Knopfler and Bob Dylan's concert in Rome. This is the Daniela's favorite song:

Ciao a tutti (what does it mean?)

  1. Glad you feel better! Anyway, I'm sure that a bronchitis will not affect the black knight's marathon plans (Florence or Latina).

See you later at 8:00 pm!

  2. I would love to see Mark Knopfler! I did see Bob Dylan last year and I was disappointed - his voice is so far gone that he is unintelligible and the songs barely recognizable. Are they playing on stage together or separate sets?

  4. Sorry you were sick and the weather's not cooperating. I missed a lot of my marathon training, including a couple of the longer runs, between being hurt and life in general...but I know you hold yourself to a far higher standard than I do.

    Have fun at the concert!

  5. Hello, Everybody!

You've always taken the setbacks well, so I suspect this one won't be any different. Charge on!

  7. Stefano, I am so sorry you were not feeling well. Running in Florece sounded like so much fun; it is such a great city.
If you don't do the Florence marathon then run on Dec. 4th. This is when I am (still) hoping to run my marathon. We could run "together" :-).
How about you come to CA to train? We have some rains in the forecast but nothing major.
Good luck with your training and I hope you are feeling 100% now.

  9. I love Mark Knopfler! My favorite song is "Why Worry?" but I like most songs he (and Dire Straits too) has done.

Sorry about the bronchitis! You will bounce back!

  11. Stupid bronchitis!! I hope you're fully over it now and can get back on track. It's so good that you've got two other options.

  16. I saw Dylan once in concert and he was only semi-coherent and barely addressed the audience at all. I hope you have a better experience!

  17. Sorry to hear about your illness, but at least you have options for other marathons. Enjoy the concert. They're both great song writers. Dire Straits put on a great concert in Canberra many years ago.

  18. I'm sorry being ill and the bad weather have messed up your training - but thank goodness you have two other options!
    Hope the concert was great!

  19. That is a bummer Stefano that you weren't able to traing due to bronchitis. If Florence is not an option I'm sure you will do great on the next marathon.

I'm so curious what you will think of Bob Dylan. You know my experience with it: never again. Mark was great however. Have fun.
