Prologue. On Sunday part of the Black Knight Army: the B.K., Sir theyogi, Sir Giorgio and his humble squire Massimo entered the Trofeo Lidense 15 k. It was a perfect day to race, sunny and cold, with a light sea breeze; the flat path was very scenic near the sea and through a wonderful pine-wood. The start was crowded but the rest of the race was perfect. My goal was to finish in 1:15:00 and it was a secret that I didn’t share because I didn’t want to stress myself to prove that I could do it (click on the pics to enlarge)

The Loot. Only a technical blue shirt with long sleeves but the fee was 12 euro. However the organization was perfect and at the end a lot of refreshments were served.

Wow, that does look like a very crowded start... Congratulations on meeting your time goal!
ReplyDeleteglad you had a nice race!
ReplyDeleteI hope the Irish runners aren't as competitive as the Italian ones!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a great race!
ReplyDeleteNice pace!
ReplyDeletegiornata perfetta, bella gara e una maglietta finalmente all'altezza: mancava solo quel caffè... ;D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on holding such an excellent pace! I'd love to hear your take on the Concordia Cruise fiasco. Must be total chaos in your port?
ReplyDeleteGreat job! You must have been pleased.
ReplyDeleteYou smashed your secret goal. Well done!
ReplyDeleteExcellent race Stefano. 4:49 ks is a great pace for 15k. Well under your 1:15 goal too. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteFantastic race!!! I have been having trouble commenting in your blog lately now I can with my itouch!
ReplyDeleteMy card took a long time to get to you! I am glad you received it
Great race Stefano!
ReplyDeleteI don't care about the loot after a race, a medal is nice and enough. I prefer low prices to sign up above a big loot afterwards.
About the meetings at work, I agree some are unneccessary and boring but most of the meetings at my job are very interesting. If only everyone learned to be more efficient, it wouldn't take that long.
Great job and beating your goals. Looks like you had perfect weather for the race.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pace, Stefano! I like secret goals too. The photos are great :) I had no idea they have men's capri pants?!
ReplyDeleteI am very happy to have made it into your army!! Thank you! I will see if I have been given a role yet. haha.
Have a great weekend!
Congrats on beating your goal time!!! No wine? No pasta? Just a shirt in the loot? All that running for that? Your army better prepares for another battle. What is your next battle?
ReplyDeleteIn the future you can share your secret goal times with us. We won't tell anyone, promise. :)
Congrats on not only hitting your goal, but beating it by a few minutes! You look good in the pictures. I'm surprised at the loot. You always get such great products, but for 12 euro a shirt and well organized race is worth it.
ReplyDeleteDevo averti superato nei 2 km finali quando stavo andando a 4 , ma non ti ho visto. La prox volta vediamo di incontrarci al bar e non al WC
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Stefano! I understand about keeping goals secret to avoid stress. My whole blog stresses me out these days. :^)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it was a beautiful day!
Nice race! That is a good time and great pace! My best time for 15km is 1:11. Since running lots of ultras I don't reach that time any more. Well done Stefano!
ReplyDeleteHi Stefano! Did Anne ever sent you the running flag of friendship? The last I had track of it was that she was sending it to Italy. It seems it might have disappeared somewhere.
