Birthday. On 29th we went to celebrate, with all the family, my wife's birthday. It was a beautiful dinner in a restaurant on the sea.
Injury Update. Everything is difficult. Not easy to recover. I tried to work in the gym, followed by a trainer, but the things go wrong because I feel pain in my groin. So, no gym because of that problem and no swimming because all the pools are closed till the end of the month. Tomorrow I will start to run slowly on the "dreadmill" for few minutes. It's a long way again....
Stormy Weather. In the meantime Italy is under a heavy rain. Here are a couple of photos I took last friday from the mooring motor-boat few minutes before the storm:
HAPPY RUNNING

Ugh, I know everything is difficult - but that's a great picture - and you WILL transcend these obstacles!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your wife! Recovering is tough and I wish you the best. I hope the dreadmill goes okay. Just take it easy and do what is comfortable for you. Patience is a tough thing in times like this. I understand!
ReplyDeleteAt least it's raining and you won't feel bad about being inside on the treadmill. Hope you can run outside soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your wife! Sorry the recovery is going slowly, hopefully the dreadmill isn't too hard on you! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI hope the rain leaves Italy soon. I will be there middle of next week!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your beautiful wife! I trust that things will go well on the treadmill!
ReplyDeleteazz, più che a tua moglie gli auguri andrebbero fatti a te! non demordere, dietro quelle nubi splende sempre il sole.....
ReplyDeleteWe've been seeing a lot of rain, too. First drought, now deluge. Good thing I'm not afraid of mud.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your wife! Good luck on the dreadmill. :)
Hope everything feels OK on the dreadmill! Lovely photo of you both. Happy birthday to your wife :)
ReplyDeleteWe are in the dry season here. In two months it will be very wet again.
Thanks for checking in with us! The dreadmill is better than nothing, right? Stay strong, and stay patient, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYour wife is so young and pretty--I hope it was a fun celebration.
And I wish Colorado could get some of your Italian rain.
I wish I could say Happy Running back to you. How frustrated you must be. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture of the two of you!!! Happy Birthday to your beautiful wife...
ReplyDeleteI can tell from your tone that you are frustrated, and I don't blame you. Recovery is so long and hard...tedious at best! i am thinking of you and praying that you return to what you love sooner rather than later...
It is super stormy here in NY as well...
Happy birthday to your wife. She's beautiful and you're a lucky man.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that the going's still so tough. You'll get there in the end - if only the end was a lot closer.
Ugh, so sorry the workouts just aren't ready to happen yet. One day this will all be behind you and a distant memory. It will!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your wife, she is beautiful!
Could you send some of that rain in Italy to Colorado please? We've head none in months!
Lovely picture of you and your wife!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the recovery isn't going as well as hoped - hang in there! Hopefully things will go better soon.
Happy Birthday to your wife! Be patient with the injury my friend. You will get there. We had our first rain for the season last night and this morning with some heavy thunder storms.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a beautiful couple! Glad you all enjoyed the festivities. Sorry to hear things are still hard and slow going on the workout front. I remain hopeful for you.
ReplyDeletesend some rain my way! happy birthday to your wife!!! I hope all goes well on the treadmill....!
ReplyDeleteKeep on trucking with the injury recovery. We had (I hope) our last blast of winter yesterday with snow on the mountains. Today 14C and sunny so that's better.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear that recovery is going so slowly, but happy to hear that it IS going. Hang in there. The Black Knight is strong.
ReplyDeleteLooks like standard Irish weather to me :-)
ReplyDeleteAwww...so sorry about the gym...I know how that feels...16 weeks later and I was finally able to run a very short distance for a very short time...but hey, I was running...you are an inspiration to me...keep your chin up friend! Happy Birthday to your wife. Let me know when you want to do that virtual run together...blessings my friend!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your wife! So sorry to hear of your injury :( I hope it gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying the pictures you have been posting and am glad you were able to toss the brace. You are on your way (yes, it'll be slow and we athletes are very impatient).
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Team BHI headquarters. I hope you heal fast. Cheers!
