Injury Update. Boring topic. The pain was always there and the knee didn't heal so I went to the orthopedic doctor. After a long check he found an inflammation of the sciatic nerve in a hidden part of the leg behind the knee. The anti-inflammatory cure: 6 shots and 10 pills for a total of 16 days (this is the 8th day). Forbidden to run. This evening I can come back to swim in moderate mode. Believe me, I am really tired to post only health (injury) problems!
The Guests: here you can see two welcome guests from my garden. The first is hidden somewhere near his masterpiece, the second brings home the food that I give him daily.
Do you have special guests at home?

Injury Update - Always the same news: the left leg doesn't heal, every time I run I feel pain inside the knee and along the tendons. Luckily I can swim and this has become my main activity, now also in the sea. However I have a sense of frustration because I don't want to give up but .... who knows?
Here 2 photos: 1. Dad and daughter - 2. My grandson Leonardo on his bike.
Have a great week!

June 2013. The best news: my daughter’s wedding, she got married on the 1st of June and now is back after the honeymoon through the USA. On the training side this was not a good month. I ran only twice because of a deep pain along the tendon of my left leg and inside the knee; between the first and the second workout ran 20 days. Now I am running again but careful, slow and for short distances, however I feel a light pain again. Fortunately I recovered from the shoulder fracture and since the 10th of June I could come back to swim. The Stats are: running only 16 km – swimming 22.9 km. Indeed I am really tired to report only the stories of my injures!
June 2003, ten years ago. Here you can see my solitary run near the finishing line on a “heartbreak” hill at a local race. The organization was good but no professional so we didn’t get the official results and the finishing time.
Are you ready for the summer vacation?
