Bad News

Bad News. If you remember at the end of february, during a workout, I broke my bone collar. I began to run early but, after a wrong movement at home, I felt pain and I didn't succeed in running the Race for the Cure. After the start I had to stop myself. What happened? By a MRI I discovered to have the D7 vertebra fractured too. I am very upset and sad. This is really a year of sh......, a year to forget!!!!
Dire Straits Legend. In the meantime I went to the Dire Straits Legend's concert. 2 and half hours of pure music, a legend! The front man is John Illsley, former Dire Straits bass guitarist (photo Angelo Bonarelli, my concerts mate).

Dog ShelterMy daughter Elisa, loves the animals (indeed I was a very good teacher on this matter) and every month she collects money to feed the dogs of a local shelter.

ViterboLast sunday I went to Viterbo to visit with other friends some Templar places. It was a nice  and interesting day that found the best conclusion in a typical restaurant in the country where we met this "well refined gentleman":

  1. Sultan of swing, lady writer, Brothers in arms and other fantastic songs. I too love Dire Straits.

Congrats to Elisa on collecting money. I don't understand why local politicians don't care about this topic.

Feel better soon, Stefano.Tuscany's battlefields will be ready in Autumn

  2. Wow, this year has been unbelievable. :( In some ways you must want to sleep until 2015.

Looks like lots of other goodness in your life, though. Your pictures are beautiful and your daughter is amazing!

  3. Your daughter's doing a wonderful thing collecting money for the dogs at the shelter.

Sorry to hear about your fractured vertebrae. Did it happen in the original fall? It just doesn't seem fair that you've had so many injuries.

  5. Bugger! Hope you can smash down the wall of injuries like Xzibit in that cool video clip.
We saw Dire Straits in an outdoor gig in Canberra about 20 years ago - in the pouring rain - great show!

  13. You have had such a terrible year of injuries. Sometimes we just have to give it up and spend our time water jogging! Seriously - you can keep your run fitness without hurting the rest of your body and give it a lot of time to heal. You can get a waterproof iPod and listen to Dire Straits for hours while you stay fit! - 21CM
